NFL Updates: News From Around the League, Week 12 Schedule and More
November 23, 2014
Today’s the day. The Week 12 games in the NFL will be getting back to business in the next several hours, and those playoff races are going to be heating up quite a bit. In the meantime, let’s take our daily look around the league at some of the notable players out there and see who’s making headlines right now.
Well, it’s official. Yesterday, the Browns activated troubled WR Josh Gordon to the 53-man roster, making him eligible to make his debut today against the Falcons.
Exactly how much work Gordon will get in his inaugural game today remains to be seen, but rest assured it’ll be one of the most talked-about topics of the NFL weekend. He’s coming off an 87-catch, 1,646-yard season last year that yielded nine touchdowns.

Yesterday, the Broncos added DE DeMarcus Ware to the injury report, due to an illness. He’s listed as probable, however, and should be good to go for today’s game against the Dolphins.
Ware has some nice stat-lines so far, posting nine sacks, two forced fumbles and 28 tackles.
The long and strange tale of Robert Griffin III has taken some strange turns so far, and it looks like we’re nearing “put up or shut up” time for the oft-injured QB.
Things have been tough for RG3 this year. When he’s been on the field, he’s logged just five touchdowns in 33 possessions, and six more of those possessions have resulted in turnovers. He’s got just two scores and three picks in his last two games.
Redskins coach Jay Gruden said Griffin had been “coddled” and added that he’s “auditioned long enough” as part of his comments he made this week, phrases that seem to indicate the coaching staff may be ready to go in a different direction if Griffin doesn’t show some immediate improvement.
The Saints look pretty good for tomorrow’s game against the Ravens. Aside from Khiry Robinson (out) and Robert Meachem (questionable) most of the rest of the guys are probable.
That designation includes Pierre Thomas, Travaris Cadet and Mark Ingram.
