The Colts defense is allowing 23.6 points and 355.8 yards per game but they are minus four in turnovers. The Houston Texans have turned things around from a miserable season a year ago and they are still in the hunt for a playoff spot. The Texans are averaging 24.2 points and 350.2 yards per game and they are led by QB Ryan Fitzpatrick who has completed 63.4 percent of his passes with 17 touchdowns and eight interceptions. Arian Foster has 1,028 yards rushing and eight touchdowns and Andre Johnson has 69 catches and two touchdowns and DeAndre Hopkins has 64 catches and six touchdowns. The Texans defense allows 30 points and 373 yards per game and they are plus 12 in turnover ratio. Kendrick Lewis has 73 tackles, Johnathan Joseph has 64 catches, and J.J. Watt has 14.5 sacks and the double and triple teams he faces lighten the load on his teammates. The Texans have just one loss in the division this season.
Indianapolis is 15-2 against the spread following a game that they didn’t cover the spread, 5-0 at home against a team with a winning road record, and 16-5 against the spread against the AFC South. Houston is 4-1 against the spread in their last five road games, 3-9 against the spread following a win, and 4-1 against the spread against the AFC South. Indianapolis has covered the point spread in their last four meetings with the Texans.
The line here looks to be too large and while the Colts are a worthy favorite in this game, just not at this number.
