The Line: Tennessee Titans +2 -- Over/Under: 43 See the Latest Odds
The Tennessee Titans and the New York Jets face off on Sunday in Nashville in a matchup of two of the worst teams in the NFL this season.
The Tennessee Titans are 2-11 and they have lost their last seven games in a row. The Titans offense has struggled averaging 16.9 points and 305.2 yards per game and it has been musical chairs at QB and the current QB is Jake Locker after Zach Mettenberger was injured again last week. Bishop Sankey has rushed for 499 yards and two touchdowns to lead the Tennessee rushing attack and Kendall Wright has 51 catches and five touchdowns and Delanie Walker has 48 catches and four touchdowns. The Titans defense is as bad as their offense allowing a 31st ranked 28.8 points and a 30th ranked 386.5 yards per game and they are minus eight in turnover ratio. Michael Griffin has 96 tackles, Jason McCourty has 75 tackles, and Wesley Woodyard has 81 tackles. The Titans will be drafting high this year but they have a lot of holes to fill.

The New York Jets are also 2-11 this season losing 10 of their last 11 games. The jets offense has been pitiful averaging a 30th ranked 16.5 points per game and 319.1 yards and they are led by QB Geno Smith who has completed 57.8 percent of his passes with eight touchdowns and 12 interceptions. Chris Ivory leads the New York ground attack with 714 yards and five touchdowns and Eric Decker is the jets leading receiver with 55 catches and four touchdowns. The Jets defense allows 26.8 points and a seventh ranked 328.8 yards per game and they are minus 12 in turnover ratio as the offense has hung them out to dry. David harris has 99 tackles, Demario Davis has 96 tackles, and Dawan Landry has 85 tackles. The Jets will face some tough decisions this offseason.
Tennessee is 2-5-1 against the spread following a game that they didn’t cover the spread, 3-12-2 against the spread against the AFC, and 1-10-1 against the spread in their last 12 home games. New York is 3-8 against the spread following a loss, 3-8-1 against the spread against a team with a losing record, and 1-4-1 against the spread in their last six road games. New York has covered the point spread in six of their last eight games against Tennessee.
While it is tough to lay points on the road with a team with two wins the Jets defense should be the difference maker here and I give them the nod.
