NFL Updates: News From Around the League, Week 16 Schedule and More
December 21, 2014
There’s a bit of a different feel out there this morning, as the NFL is coming off a rare Saturday night of action. We’ve got more in store today as Week 16 continues on, so with that in mind let’s check out some of the notable happenings out there right now.
Saturday Games Wrap-Up: The Eagles are just about finished in the playoff race, thanks to a 27-24 loss yesterday to their division-mate Redskins. Mark Sanchez tossed a costly interception late in that one which led to a game-winning field goal.
In the other matchup, the Chargers kept their playoff hopes alive against the Niners, overcoming a 21-point deficit to rally behind Philip Rivers for a 38-35 victory in overtime.

Let’s check out the Broncos’ injury report ahead of tomorrow’s game against the Bengals. Notable probable designations included Jacob Tamme, Demaryius Thomas and Julius Thomas.
Ronnie Hillman, Emmanuel Sanders and Peyton Manning are all questionable.
Speaking of Manning, there seems to be some optimism surrounding his outlook ahead of this game. He’s nursing a thigh injury that he suffered last week against the Chargers.
Although the Cowboys won’t officially rule on RB DeMarco Murray’s status until today, the general expectation is that he’ll be playing against the Colts. He was medically cleared to return Friday from his injured hand.
Another one of today’s game-time decisions will be the Falcons’ Julio Jones. He’ll do some workouts before the game against the Saints today and see how his hip feels. He’s officially questionable heading into this one.
The Packers’ Bryan Bulaga was upgraded from questionable to probable ahead of today’s game against the Buccaneers. He’s coming off a concussion last week and has passed all associated protocols.
