NFL Updates: News From Around the League, Week 17 Schedule and More
December 27, 2014
There’s just one more day to wait until the final week of the NFL regular season, which for many fans marks the last time they’ll get to see their favorite teams in action until 2015. It’s a bittersweet time, so let’s use the opportunity to check out some of the notable players and happenings out there right now.
The Colts have a few notable injury issues heading into their finale tomorrow against Tennessee. Notably, TE Dwayne Allen has been ruled out. WR T.Y. Hilton comes into this one as questionable with a hamstring issue.
All of that said, the Colts shouldn’t need Allen or Hilton to finish off the Titans.

The Bears’ Chris Conte will be out for tomorrow’s game against the Vikings. He’s got a back injury. Jimmy Clausen and Robbie Gould are also sidelined.
DE Jared Allen is questionable here, while Marquess Wilson is probable.
The Bengals’ A.J. Green is officially probable for tomorrow night’s very important game against the Steelers. He’s got a biceps injury that dogged him in last week’s game against Denver. Green could barely move his arm for most of the game.
The Cincinnati-Pittsburgh game will be for the division title, so the Bengals will definitely need Green to be healthy.
The Bears re-inked center Roberto Garza yesterday. He gets a one-year extension through next season.
Garza has been a Bear since 2005 and has been out for just a half-dozen games.
Speaking of the Bears, they’ll see the Vikings tomorrow. Minnesota’s Kyle Rudolph will be questionable, as will WR Jarius Wright. Greg Jennings and Matt Asiata are among the team’s probables.
Among the Jets’ injury concerns for tomorrow’s finale against the Dolphins are WR Percy Harvin and C Nick Mangold. They’re both questionable, as is DL Muhammad Wilkerson.
This is pretty much a meaningless game (besides draft positioning), so we may see the team play it safe here.
