The Indianapolis Colts shocked the world last weekend as they went into Mile High and left with a convincing win against Peyton Manning and the high flying Broncos and now it is Manning's former team getting another crack at the Patriots with a place in the Super Bowl on the line. Andrew Luck has been sensational all season long and is quickly becoming an elite level talent in the NFL and if he can lead his Colts past the Patriots this weekend his mystique will certainly grow even more though it'll be a tough task to pull off. The Colts have been dreadful running the football all season long and if you become one dimensional against the Pats defense they will eat you up and that is the case we run into here as Indy will be throwing all day and it'll be up to TY Hilton and Reggie Wayne to make plays and keep Indy in this thing. The Colts have already weaved their way through two pretty impressive defenses though as Cincy and Denver both went up in flames and with Luck playing at his best there is more than a fighting chance that he can keep Indy close and perhaps even pull off the victory and book their trip to Arizona.
The Patriots meanwhile have been business as usual and while they had to fight back from being down 14 points on two separate occasions they came back to defeat the Ravens and set up the AFC Title game at home in Foxboro. New England had been written off once again in the early going of the season but as Tom Brady and Bill Belichick do so often they made adjustments and kept winning football games en route to locking up the top spot in the AFC and for their efforts they get to play at home this weekend instead of traveling to Indy. Brady has been in this position so many times before and after getting knocked off by the Ravens two years ago you can be sure this team is ready to get back to the dance and they will stop at nothing to get there. Look for the Patriots' offense to come out flying and absolute shred the suspect Colts defense and New England will make enough plays defensively to give the Pats the win and a comfotable win at that as I think the Pats take this one by double digits and don't look back.
