We’re not even a week into the NFL’s new league year yet, but we’ve already seen some earth-shattering developments from just about every team. That said, let’s check out today’s news and see what’s happening out there right now.

Former Patriots NT Vince Wilfork is reportedly meeting with the Texans. New England didn’t renew his contract this year, after Wilfork played with the team for 11 years.
He’s got some history with the coaching staff in Houston, so there’s a good chance he could land there.

The Cowboys inked LB Andrew Gachkar yesterday. He had been with the Chargers for four seasons after getting drafted in the seventh round of the 2011 draft.
Gachkar put up 120 tackles and one forced fumble during his time with the Chargers.

CB Tramon Williams, who is a free agent, was visiting with the Browns yesterday. He had spent his entire career in Green Bay, logging 28 picks and 115 pass defenses in his eight seasons. He’s 32 today.

The Bills have a bounty of options at quarterback heading into the 2015 season it seems. There are three quarterbacks on the roster who could potentially start, according to sources close to the team.
In addition to last year’s choice EJ Manuel, the team also has Matt Cassel and Tyrod Taylor on the roster, and any one of those guys could end up behind center in Week 1.
The team views Taylor as more of a zone-read option, similar to a Russell Wilson-type player.

DE Michael Johnson has found a new--or rather an old--home. The free agent agreed to return to Cincinnati yesterday, inking a four-year deal that will pay $14 million this year.
Johnson played with the Bengals for his first five years in the league, then with Tampa last season.
