NFL Updates: News From Around the League, Off-Season Schedule and More
March 21, 2015
We’ve reached the weekend, and that means we should be seeing some extra action from around the NFL as the free agency off-season shuffle continues. With that said, let’s check out some of our headlines from today’s news.
The Saints re-signed OT Bryce Harris yesterday. He’ll be on a one-year deal.
Harris has been on the Saints team since 2012. He’s 26 years old and started two games last season.

Speaking of re-signing, the Dolphins did just that to RB LaMichael James and S Louis Delmas yesterday.
James came to Miami after getting cut by the Niners early last season. Delmas, meanwhile, signed up with the Phins last off-season and posted 49 tackles last year. He’ll be getting a reported $3.5 million for one year.
We still don’t have any concrete information about Steelers safety Troy Polamalu. Team Owner Art Rooney said yesterday that he had no update on the veteran’s status for 2015.
Polamalu is 33 years old and contemplating retirement from the league. The general consensus seems to be that if he does indeed return to the NFL, Pittsburgh will part ways with him and he’ll have to find another team. If that happens, he should catch on somewhere else pretty easily.
The Browns officially announced the signing of WR Dwayne Bowe yesterday. He’s coming off an eight-year stint with the Chiefs.
Bowe was cut last week in a salary cap trimming. He put up 532 catches for 7,155 yards and 44 scores in his time there.
The Colts inked LB Nate Irving, who is fresh off the Broncos. He was picked in the third round of the 2011 draft.
During his time in Denver, Irving put up 67 tackles, two sacks and two pass defenses in 54 games.
The Giants signed DL George Selvie to a one-year deal worth $1.4 million yesterday.
Selvie spent the past two years in Dallas, where he started 29 of 32 games. He posted 60 tackles and 10 sacks in his time there.
