NFL Updates: News From Around the League, Off-Season Schedule and More
March 31, 2015
It seems like the NFL off-season has been dragging on forever already, but we’ve still got quite a while to wait before we see football on the field again. In the meantime, there’s the draft to look forward to, which takes place in less than a month. For now, let’s check out some of the top stories from around the league.
The Broncos’ Demaryius Thomas isn’t going to be attending the team’s off-season program; he’s currently working out in Atlanta.
Denver QB Peyton Manning will be working out at Duke, but Thomas won’t be there either.
Thomas is under the team’s franchise tag this year but is hoping to get a new contract worked out.

Free agent QB Matt Schaub will be picking a team this week, according to sources close to the situation. He’s coming off a stint with the Raiders.
Schaub will likely be choosing between the Jets, Ravens and Falcons.
RB Jordan Todman has a new home today. He signed a one-year deal with the Panthers yesterday.
Todman put up 32 carries for 186 yards in Jacksonville last year, also notching 25 grabs for 198 more. He’s also a kickoff return man, with a 26.5 yard average last season.
Provided WR Miles Austin passes his physical, he’s set to be singing with the Eagles this week.
Austin is 30 years old and played in 12 games for Cleveland last year. He was put on injured reserve after suffering a kidney injury, first amassing 568 yards and two scores on 47 catches.
Hakeem Nicks, who is one of the more notable free-agent wide receivers left on the market, will be traveling to California and meeting with the 49ers this week.
Nicks logged 38 catches for 405 yards and four scores with the Colts last year, starting six games.
