We’re cruising into yet another off-season NFL weekend, and with the draft quickly approaching, anticipation is building every day. That said, let’s check out some of the notable players and situations out there in the news.

Center Roberto Garza has been a longtime fixture in a Bears uniform, but that era has come to an end. He was released by the team yesterday, and Chicago signed Will Montgomery to a one-year deal shortly thereafter.
Garza has been with the Bears since 2005 after getting drafted by the Falcons in 2001. In those 14 years, he has 206 games under his belt.

The Vikings waived QB Pat Devlin yesterday and signed a pair of players. QB Mike Kafka and DE Caesar Rayford are now members of the Vikings.

Good news for the Giants’ WR Victor Cruz. He’s now jogging on a field, a nice step up from the anti-gravity machine work he had been doing recently.
Cruz is coming off a torn patellar tendon in his knee. We’ll have to wait to see what he looks like this year on the field.

Word came out yesterday that the Ravens’ C.J. Mosely, who is a linebacker, underwent surgery on his wrist this off-season.
Mosley is 22 years old and posted 133 tackles, one forced fumble and two picks in his rookie season. He should be just fine by the time organized activities roll around.

The Titans and TE Craig Stevens agreed to a restructured deal yesterday. He’ll be making around $1.6 million this year, as opposed to the $3.5 million he was originally due this season.
Stevens is coming off a thigh injury that limited him to five games in 2014.
