NFL Updates: News From Around the League, Off-Season Schedule and More
April 4, 2015
We’ve reached yet another NFL off-season weekend, and there will only be a few more of these before we’re knee-deep in the 2015 draft. In the meantime, there’s plenty to talk about. Let’s check in with some of the notable players out there in our daily wrap-up.
The 49ers made a minor move yesterday, signing linebacker Nick Bellore to the team on a two-year deal.
Bellore is coming off a four-year stint with the Jets, posting 61 tackles in that time.

The Vikings are adding a long-snapper to their roster heading into off-season activites. The team is picking up Kevin McDermott, who will compete with Cullen Leoffler for a roster spot as the team’s specialty snapper.
McDermott was on the Baltimore squad last year. He finished up 2014 on IR with an elbow issue.
The Bills’ Sammy Watkins had hip surgery earlier this off-season, according to sources close to the team.
Watkins injured his hip in a game against the Browns on November 30. He was able to play every game in 2014, however, posting totals of 65 grabs for 982 yards and six scores.
Michael Crabtree might be staying in California. He’s set to visit with the Oakland Raiders next week, according to a report that came out yesterday.
Crabtree has already met with Miami this off-season, and he’s also gotten some interest from the Chargers and Redskins.
Crabtree has career totals of 4,327 yards and 26 touchdowns in his 79 career appearances.
Former Atlanta CB Josh Wilson has found a new team. He was signed by the Lions yesterday.
The journeyman Wilson has played for four other teams in his career. He’s been in Seattle, Baltimore, Washington and Atlanta. He’s got 85 starts under his belt with 426 tackles.
