NFL Updates: News From Around the League, Off-Season Schedule and More
April 14, 2015
We’ve got just 16 days left until the 2015 NFL draft, and there’s plenty to talk about between now and then. While we’re waiting on the big day, let’s take our daily look around the league and see who’s making news out there.
The Dolphins made a couple of big news splashes yesterday, so let’s take our talents to South Beach and check out what they’re doing.
First off, the team inked OL Mike Pouncey to a five-year contract extension. The deal has $22 million guaranteed and is worth a possible $45 million overall. This will keep him in town through 2020.
Also, the team reached an agreement with CB Zack Bowman yesterday. Terms weren’t immediately available here.
Bowman is 30 years old and has only started 16 games over his last five years in the league.

The Packers will be bringing back a familiar face this season. Fan-favorite fullback John Kuhn will return on a one-year, $870,000 deal in 2015.
Kuhn has been in Green Bay for eight of his nine NFL years. He has 591 yards and 18 touchdowns to his credit on the ground, with 76 grabs for 516 yards and eight more scores as well.
Before we leave Green Bay, let’s check out what happened with S Sean Richardson yesterday. Richardson had signed an offer sheet with the Raiders, and the team decided to match the one-year $2.55 million offer.
The former restricted free agent has posted 42 tackles in 27 games during his three years with the Packers.
Former Packer Greg Jennings visited with the Jaguars yesterday, which comes shortly after it was reported that he’d checked out Miami as well.
Jennings is coming off a 2014 with the Vikings during which he posted 59 grabs for 742 yards and six scores.
