School: Nebraska Cornhuskers
USA TODAY Sports
Position: Wide Receiver
Career Stats: 181 receptions, 2,689 receiving yards and 21 touchdowns.
Strengths: Kenny Bell is quite an athlete who ran a 4.42 time at the NFL combine and had a 129-inch broad jump. Bell can stretch the field a bit and has a second gear that allows him to create separation downfield. Bell has impressive hands and is able to win most jump balls by highpointing the football with the best of them. Bell is a hard worker who loves the game and puts the time in to improve. Bell has experience as a return man and could see a similar role at the next level. Bell has great instincts and knows the game better than most receivers. Kenny Bell is a high character guy who leads on and off the field.
Weaknesses: Kenny Bell needs to improve his route running, as he’s not polished in and out of his cuts as you’d expect from a veteran college receiver. Bell could also add some weight to his upper-body to be more effective against bigger corners. Bell’s thin frame will likely limit him to simply being an outside receiver with little potential to go across the middle.
Projection: Kenny Bell is a receiver who is flying under the radar, as this kid has great hands and works hard. Bell is also more of a playmaker than what he showed playing at Nebraska. I like Bell as an NFL prospect and would gladly steal him as soon as round four.
