USA TODAY Sports
Position: Running Back
Career Stats: 417 rushing attempts, 2,306 rushing yards and 25 rushing touchdowns.
Strengths: Javorius Allen is a big running back who runs with physicality and doesn’t shy away from contact. Allen is quite shifty in the open field and does a solid job of picking up yards after contact. Allen has shown he’s willing to block and holds his own in pass protection. Allen comes from a pro-style offense and is a quite competitive player who runs hard majority of the time. Allen has no injury history at all and racked up 411 rushing attempts his last two seasons. Allen is one of the better receivers at running back, as he racked up 63 receptions in his last two seasons. Javorius Allen is a good kid who comes with no real off-the-field issues and has a strong work ethic.
Weaknesses: Javorius Allen runs too high and doesn’t have great balance, as he tends to fall down a tad too easily. Allen can be a little impatient and doesn’t have great top end speed.
Projection: Javorius Allen does a lot of things well, as he can catch, block and has enough above-average speed to make plays on the ground. Allen may be the most underrated running back in this draft class. Overall, I wouldn’t mind spending a late second round or early third round pick on the RB out of USC.
