NFL Updates: News From Around the League, Week 1 Schedule and More
August 28, 2015
We’ve almost reached the end of another preseason NFL week, and there’s plenty of on-field action coming up over the next couple of days. That said, let’s check out some of the notable headlines out there in our daily wrap-up.
The Redskins’ Robert Griffin III looks like he’ll be ready to go for his team’s third preseason game tomorrow.
Griffin has been fighting off a concussion but the team says he’s been cleared to play the Ravens tomorrow in Baltimore.

The Giants got some bad news on SS Nat Behre yesterday. He’s done for the year with a calf injury.
Behre will have surgery today, making him the fourth Giants safety to be ruled out for the year.
The Colts’ Greg Toler has been pushed back from day-to-day to week-to-week status with his neck injury.
Toler hurt himself on Saturday against the Bears, and there’s growing concern that he may not even be ready for Week 1 of the regular season.
Buccaneers WR Mike Evans is trying to return to the field for Week 1. He’s coming off a hamstring injury he sustained in the team’s second preseason game.
Evans is likely to sit out the final two preseason games as a precaution, but says that if it were the regular season, he’d be playing.
Evans is coming off a 68-catch season in his rookie year of 2014, logging 1,051 yards and 12 touchdowns.
Broncos WR Emmanuel Sanders may be able to return to full practices next week. He’s missed out on the first two preseason games due to a hamstring injury he suffered early this month.
