The Titans look to give reason to celebrate in the preseason as they continue their slate on the road against the Kansas City Chiefs.

The Titans head into the season with a lot of hope for the future after drafting Marcus Mariota with the second overall draft pick but the Oregon product will have to pull off some magic if the Titans want to approach even the .500 mark this season. Tennessee has been down in the dumps over the last few seasons and they have a lot of work to do yet before they will be competitive and while Mariota is a start it has put a wedge between the franchise and Zach Mettenberger who was supposed to be the team's pivot moving forward. The Titans head into Arrowhead looking for something positive but it could prove tough to find anything as I don't expect they will be able to move on the ball on KC's defensive starter's and their depth isn't the greatest either.
The Chiefs meanwhile have high hopes this season after making some off season moves and with Jeremy Maclin brought in to put an end to KC's receiving touchdown futility streak it could actually be a nice season in the Midwest. KC has the pieces with weapons on offense and now a healthy Eric Berry back in the saddle the Chiefs D could surprise people as well but with the Broncos still being the class of the division, the Chargers looking for a rebound and the Raiders on the ascent the Chiefs have their work cut out for them. I don't think this game will be close even though it is a preseason tilt and while the spread is enticing I think the easier play is on the total as I don't expect either offense to do much once the starter's are out.
