The Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Miami Dolphins meet Thursday for their final preseason game at Sun Life Stadium.
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are 1-2 in preseason play and are coming off a beatdown loss to the Cleveland Browns. Due to the Bucs overall struggles this preseason, rookie quarterback Jameis Winston could see some playing time in this game despite being pegged the starter for the regular season. Mike Glennon looks like he has the backup QB job wrapped up. Doug Martin has looked solid this preseason running the football and it’s now up to guys Mike James and Charles Sims to make their mark. Mike Evans also has to get healthy at wide receiver. Defensively, Lavonte David led Tampa Bay last game with six tackles, Kwon Alexander had two tackles for loss and Mike Jenkins had a pass deflection.

The Miami Dolphins are 1-2 in preseason play and are coming off a win over the Atlanta Falcons. Ryan Tannehill has looked sharp in every preseason game, but it’s now up to backups Matt Moore and Josh Freeman to show something, as they’ve both looked bad in the first three games. Jay Ajayi and Lamar Miller seem to be forming a nice running back tandem, while Damien Williams has shined at times as well. Jarvis Landry has been big time at WR, but will likely sit this game out as a starter. Defensively, Mike Hull led Miami last game with six tackles, Earl Mitchell had two tackles for loss and Cedric Thompson had a pass deflection.
The Buccaneers are 5-2 ATS in their last 7 road games and 1-4 ATS in their last 5 Thursday games. The Dolphins are 5-2 ATS in their last 7 Thursday games and 2-5 ATS in their last 7 home games. The Buccaneers are 5-0 ATS in their last 5 meetings.
I don't like anything I've seen from the Dolphins' backup quarterbacks. Both Moore and Freeman have stunk up the joint in a big way. I'll take a former starter in Mike Glennon and the free points.
