The Carolina Panthers are fresh off of making Luke Kuechly one of the highest paid players in the NFL but they are going to need him to do even more than he has already of the Panthers are going to have much success this season. Despite playing in the weak NFC South in which a .500 record for the division winner looks more plausible than not the Panthers were dealt a serious blow when it was learned that Kelvin Benjamin was going to miss the entire season with a knee injury to decimate even further a very thin receiving unit. The Cats do have a pretty solid defense and of course have Cam Newton behind center who when healthy can be a very effective quarterback, but without a ton of receivers in the fold and a run game that will have to be Jonathan Stewart you can foresee a ton of pressure on Newton which could render him ineffective.
The Jaguars meanwhile have been among the league doormats for the better part of a decade and many think they will be in that role once again as they continue to overhaul their roster. However, the Jags actually have some nice pieces on offense and will be even better once Julius Thomas is healthy and if Blake Bortles can continue to progress they could shock some people this season and could very well make a case as the second best team in the AFC South. While I don't think the change will happen over night I do think the Jags are in a better position here than the Panthers this season and I think this line is flip flopped as Jacksonville to me is the more complete group and getting a field goal here they are well worth a look.
