The Eagles and Falcons kick off a Monday night double header to wrap up week one as they face off at the Georgia Dome.
The Philadelphia Eagles head into a brand new season with a new look about them as out is long time running back Lesean McCoy who was traded to the Buffalo for Bills for linebacker Kiko Alonso as well as quarterback Nick Foles getting shipped to St. Louis in return for Sam Bradford. Chip Kelly has had great success offensively so far with the Eagles and with both Demarco Murray and Ryan Mathews signing as free agents, Kelly has even more weapons at his disposal in what should be a very exciting team to watch. The Eagles also lost Jeremy Maclin who left for the Kansas City Chiefs which puts a big dent in their receiving corps but it looks like youngster Jordan Matthews is ready to handle the load and could be primed for a big season. The Eagles though get a tough test on opening night as they head into Atlanta to battle the Falcons in prime time.
The Atlanta Falcons are looking to get back into the playoffs this season and improve on their 6-10 season and a full year with Julio Jones should give them that as he is one of the best offensive players in all of football. Matt Ryan will be leaned on once again to provide guidance behind centre and as one of the better quarterbacks in football and his track record at home it should give the Falcons a boost and put them in a position to win the division. The draw a tough first match though as the eagles have a ton of fire power and will be playing with a big chip on their shoulder... no pun intended. This game will have a lot of electricity and with all of the fire power on the offensive side of the ball I think these teams put up some points with ease.
