The Kansas City Chiefs look to end their two game slide with a trip into Cincinnati on Sunday in what should be a battle between two stifling defenses.
USA TODAY Sports
The Chiefs are coming off another tough loss after getting pasted by the Green Bay Packers last weekend in a game that looks a lot closer than it was and now they head into Cincinnati looking to avoid a three game losing skid and falling well back in the AFC West. The Chiefs were considered by many to be AFC favourites this season and still could very well emerge as one of the teams to beat but at the moment they haven't looked the part and have been too inconsistent on both sides of the ball through three weeks and need to change that moving forward. However, a date with the Bengals isn't what the doctor ordered as Cincy is among the league's best teams, remains undefeated, and can beat you on both sides of the football.
The Bengals haven't had the toughest schedule among league contenders but they do look very good at the moment and with the emerging play of Andy Dalton behind centre things are looking much better for the orange and black who could very well break through as a Super Bowl favourite. Cincy has one of the league's best defenses and have a stellar tandem in the back field in Jeremy Hill and Gio Bernard which is a recipe for NFL success and in the AFC North – one of the league's best divisions – the Bengals right now are the favourites to emerge as champions. This should be a great game between two solid teams and while it is tough to imagine a team as good as Kansas City losing three games in a row that is exactly what I see happening here as the Bengals at home is a tough draw and getting them at a field goal is well worth it.
