The Houston Texans need a win to save their season after a brutal 1-4 start to the year. Brian Hoyer is completing 62.1 percent of his passes for 780 yards, five touchdowns and two interceptions. Hoyer and Ryan Mallett have produced eight touchdown passes. DeAndre Hopkins and Cecil Shorts III have combined for 814 receiving yards and four touchdowns while Nate Washington has 13 receptions. The Houston Texans ground game is averaging 96.2 yards per contest, and Alfred Blue leads the way with 226 yards and one touchdown. Defensively, Houston is allowing 27 points and 339.8 yards per game. Brian Cushing leads the Texans with 40 tackles, J.J. Watt has four sacks and Jadeveon Clowney has three tackles for loss.

The Jacksonville Jaguars also need a win after a 1-4 start that includes three straight losses. Blake Bortles is completing 57.1 percent of his passes for 1,299 yards, 10 touchdowns and four interceptions. Bortles is questionable with a shoulder injury. Allen Hurns and Allen Robinson have combined for 832 receiving yards and seven touchdowns while Bryan Walters has 10 receptions. The Jacksonville Jaguars ground game is averaging 94.6 yards per contest, and T.J. Yeldon leads the way with 291 yards on 81 carries. Defensively, Jacksonville is allowing 29 points and 363 yards per game. Telvin Smith leads the Jaguars with 52 tackles, Aaron Colvin has two sacks and Davon House has seven pass deflections. James Sample, John Lotulelei and Marqise Lee are questionable.
I simply don't trust the Texans at all after they lost to the Colts at home with no Andrew Luck. The Texans got dominated by a bunch of guys in their late 30s with their season on the line at home. No, thanks.
Of course, I don't have much faith in the Jaguars either. However, Jacksonville is at home. So, if you're nuts enough to actually bet on this game between two franchises going down the drain, I'd suggest taking the home team. But I'm not touching this game at all.
