NFL Updates: News From Around the League, Week 8 Schedule and More
October 27, 2015
Week 7 in the NFL is all wrapped up, and that means it’s time for us to get our attentions focused on Week 8. Let’s start things out by looking at the headlines and seeing what’s happening out there.
Ravens-Cardinals Wrap-Up: The Cardinals moved to 5-2 on the season last night with a big win over the Ravens on “Monday Night Football.” The 26-18 affair got a little more interesting in the fourth quarter, when a blocked punt led to a Ravens touchdown and an 8-point game. Joe Flacco was intercepted in the end zone in the final seconds to put an end to the comeback and send Baltimore to 1-6.
Chris Johnson led the Cards’ attack here with 18 carries for 122 yards and a TD.

The Seahawks appear to be getting closer to getting WR Paul Richardson back. He’s back on the practice field.
The team has a little under three weeks now to activate Richardson, who is currently on the PUP. He was picked up in the 2014 draft as the 45th pick overall.
Good news for the Packers. Davante Adams was able to return to practice yesterday. He’s getting over an ankle injury.
Adams seems like he’ll be good to go for Week 8 when the team takes on Denver. The team can definitely use him as the No. 3 wide receiver; they’re sorely lacking depth right now.
It’s hard knowing what to make of the Cowboys backfield these days, but after Week 7 a hierarchy seems to be emerging.
Christine Michael played just seven snaps in the team’s Sunday loss to New York, giving way to Darren McFadden, who posted some great numbers. We’d imagine McFadden will take the lead from here on out and will likely gain the lion’s share of the touches.
The Titans are scheduled to test out No. 2 overall pick Marcus Mariota today, and how well he does will determine whether or not he’ll be able to practice.
Mariota was initially expected back in Week 8 after his MCL injury, but that doesn’t seem to be a sure thing anymore as the team nurses him along.
