The Dolphins look to keep trending upwards with a respectable showing against the Patriots on Thursday while the home team looks to make another statement and remain undefeated.
The Miami Dolphins got off to a rocky start to this NFL season and it cost former coach Joe Philbin his job but the move seems to have worked as Miami has won every game since and are starting to look like the AFC contenders many expected them to be. Miami exploded last week against a very bad Houston Texans team but it is still promising to see guys like Ryan Tannehill, Lamar Miller, Jarvis Landry, and Rishard Matthews have productive days albeit against Houston. The Fins will look to inch closer to a wild card spot with a victory here against the Patriots and make a statement simultaneously that they are the biggest threat to unseating the Pats in the AFC East and perhaps in the entire conference as a whole. However, it is the Miami defense not the offense that is going to have to have a big game as Tom Brady and the Pats do it up big when they're at home in prime time and with additional NFL levies coming down on them this week it is another opportunity for the Patriots to stick it to the NFL with another all word performance.

The Patriots remain undefeated sitting at 6-0 through seven weeks and some believe they even got a victory during their bye week they are playing that well this season as Tom Brady and Co look like they're poised to repeat. New England has had difficulties ion the last two games though as they trailed in both against Indianapolis and New York with the latter coming last week in Foxboro in a game where the Jets held a fourth quarter lead before ultimately losing the game. There is no question that New England is the crop of the AFC right now but their running game is a cause for concern and against a Dolphins team that is playing with a won of confidence and motivation at the moment you can be sure they will show up in full force on Thursday. It is never wise betting against Brady and the Pats at home in prime time but the line seems a little too high for where these two teams are at the moment and I think Miami can get the cover.
