NFL Updates: News From Around the League, Week 11 Schedule and More
November 18, 2015
We’ve got just one more day to wait until Week 11 gets going in the NFL, with the Titans and Jaguars facing off in Jacksonville on “Thursday Night Football.” In the meantime, let’s check out some of the notable headlines in our daily wrap-up.
The Browns waived once-promising TE Rob Housler from IR yesterday. He’d been there since sustaining a hamstring injury a couple of weeks back.
Housler will be considered a bust in Cleveland after inking a $1.76 million deal. He’s got the talent to catch on somewhere--and he’s still only 28--but he’s got a lot of proving to do.

The general feeling around the Titans is that WR Kendall Wright will be missing tomorrow’s game against the Jaguars.
Wright is still healing from an MCL injury and will most likely be able to get back to the field in Week 12.
The Texans are expecting LB Jadeveon Clowney to be healthy enough to play in Week 11. He missed out on last week with a back injury.
Clowney has played in just two of the last four games. His presence will be a big boost for that defense as the team tries to claw their way into a division championship.
In other Texans news, there’s still not a whole lot of info regarding starting QB Brian Hoyer. He sustained a concussion in the team’s surprise victory over the Bengals in Week 11.
It seems like the Texans are hopeful he’ll be back on the field following concussion protocol; they’re not signing another quarterback. If Hoyer can’t play, it’ll be T.J. Yates once again as Houston welcomes the flailing Jets to town.
Let’s check out a couple of Jaguars items before we sign off for the day. RB T.J. Yeldon is expected to be okay for tomorrow’s game. He’s out of his walking boot and will be in for a big workload against a sketchy Titans front.
As for WR Allen Hurns, he was back to full participation in practice yesterday. He’s been dealing with a sports hernia, and will put off surgery until after the season. Hurns should get plenty of looks tomorrow.
