NFL Updates: News From Around the League, Week 12 Schedule and More
November 25, 2015
We’re gearing up for a big three-game set tomorrow on Thanksgiving as the NFL unveils their annual holiday schedule. While we’re waiting on those games, let’s check out some of the notable headlines from around the league in our daily wrap-up.
Rams WR Stedman Bailey was shot in the head and hip last night. He’s currently in the hospital in critical but stable condition. The incident happened in Miami as he was the passenger in a car with three other people.
Bailey will be getting surgery this morning, so let’s hope he pulls through this okay. He’s currently away from the team serving a four-game suspension.

We’ve got some Marshawn Lynch news this morning. The early indications seem to be that he’ll miss around 4-5 weeks as he attempts to recover without sports hernia surgery.
In a best-case scenario, Lynch will be back in Week 16. That said, there’s not a lot of hope that this whole “rest and rehab” thing is going to fix his issue. He’ll likely need to go under the knife at some point. In the meantime, it'll be Thomas Rawls in the backfield.
Now for the latest Peyton Manning news. He’ll reportedly miss at least the next two weeks as he tries to get his foot healthy.
Manning met with a foot specialist yesterday and will have a cast on for at least the next week. He’ll probably be available for a couple of games near the end of the regular season if the team needs him.
This presents an interesting problem for the Broncos coaching staff if backup QB Brock Osweiler performs well. There’s some speculation that he may keep the job if he continues to win, but we’ll take even a semi-healthy Manning over just about anyone.
Matt Forte has been unavailable for the Bears over the past three weeks due to a sprained MCL, but reportedly plans on being out there tomorrow against the Packers.
Forte says he could have played in Week 11, but would have risked re-aggravation of his knee if he had done so. In the time Forte has been out, Jeremy Langford has played pretty well. That means we’ll probably see him get a few more carries moving forward.
