NFL Updates: News From Around the League, Week 13 Schedule and More
December 1, 2015
Week 12 is all finished up in the NFL, so that means it’s time to start looking ahead to a pivotal Week 13. Let’s take our daily look at the headlines and key players out there.
Browns-Ravens Wrap-Up: Aside from AFC North fans, not too many people were interested in the Week 12 “Monday Night Football” matchup. That said, it was an extremely entertaining game that went down to the wire on a bizarre play.
The Browns and Ravens were all tied up at 27, and Cleveland was trying to kick the game-winning field goal with just a few seconds left on the clock. The Ravens blocked the kick, and Will Hill took it 64 yards for the touchdown and an improbable 33-27 Baltimore win.
Both these teams have been crushed by injury and sub-par play this year and will look to 2016 to turn things around.

Packers TE Andrew Quarless was sentenced to one year of probation and will also have to pay a $1,000 fine for his Fourth of July antics.
Quarless fired a gun in public on the holiday, tried to flee and hid the weapon. He’ll likely get a suspension of some sort from the league. Currently he’s on IR and should be activated pretty soon.
Bad news for the Cardinals’ Chris Johnson. He’s reportedly got a fractured tibia and will miss several weeks. We don’t have a concrete timetable as yet.
The Cardinals are also saddled with Andre Ellington’s turf toe injury, which will leave David Johnson as the No. 1 guy for the moment.
We got a little bit of info on Patriots TE Rob Gronkowski’s condition last night, and the news isn’t so good. He’s expected to miss out on “multiple weeks” due to his knee injury. The general thinking is that he’ll be out for the Eagles game and week-to-week thereafter.
The Colts have an issue with RB Frank Gore. Coach Chuck Pagano admitted yesterday that Gore was pretty beat up, which we’d assume means he’s nowhere near 100 percent.
Most people figured there was something going on with Gore, as he’s been increasingly ineffective as the season has worn on. He’s at age 32 now, so it’s really not much of a surprise. The bad news is that Ahmad Bradshaw is done for the season (wrist), so expect Dan Herron to soak up some touches.
