NFL Updates: News From Around the League, Week 13 Schedule and More
December 4, 2015
Week 13 in the NFL is officially underway, now that the Packers and Lions have finished up. Let’s take our daily look at the headlines and news items out there to see what’s happening.
Packers-Lions Wrap-Up: The Week 13 edition of “Thursday Night Football” featured the NFC North rivalry of the Lions and Packers, and was this ever a crazy game.
Green Bay was down 20-0 at one point early in the third quarter, but fought back to win the game 27-23 on a 61-yard Hail Mary to Richard Rodgers on the game’s final play. It should have been over before that, but the Lions were flagged for a facemask on a sack one play earlier.
Aaron Rodgers would finish with 273 yards, two passing touchdowns and one TD on the ground.
The Packers have just one starter left on their offensive line now, as two more players went down with injuries in this one.

The Steelers’ Martavis Bryant was able to put in a limited practice yesterday, his first session this week.
Bryant is battling a hip issue, though there seems to be no concern he will miss this weekend against the Colts.
Let’s check out a couple of Broncos practice notes. Emmanuel Sanders was able to put in a full practice yesterday. He’s got some issues with his ankle and finger but should be just fine for a nice matchup against the Chargers.
Then there’s Owen Daniels. He missed out on yesterday’s practice due to a knee injury, so fans will want to keep an eye on him today. All things considered, he should be fine for Week 13.
Rams QB Case Keenum is still in the league’s concussion protocol, however there is a chance he will be cleared in time for Week 13.
That said, even if Keenum does get activated this weekend, Nick Foles will remain the Rams’ starter.
The Patriots’ Danny Amendola was limited once again at yesterday’s practice, thanks to his knee injury.
Amendola should be able to return for Sunday’s game against the Eagles. The Patriots will need him desperately with Rob Gronkowski and Julian Edelman both sidelined.
