NFL Updates: News From Around the League, Week 13 Schedule and More
December 5, 2015
We’ve got just one more day to wait before Week 13 continues in the NFL, so while we’re waiting let’s take our daily look at the headlines and see who’s in the news across the league.
Let’s start things out today with a couple of Bears injury notes, namely their tight ends. Martellus Bennett is listed as probable due to his rib injury, but Zach Miller is listed as questionable--also with a rib injury.
Miller is reportedly on track to play, but will have a smaller role with Bennett back in the mix.

We’ve got some information as to Eddie Lacy’s lack of usage in Thursday’s win over the Lions. He was reportedly late for the team’s curfew on Wednesday night, earning himself (once again) the ire of the coaching staff.
Lacy had a very small role in the Packers’ miraculous last-second win Thursday, so he’s once again in the doghouse. It’s unfortunate, as he’s far and away the team’s most talented back. We could see him sitting even more in Week 14.
Now let’s check out a couple of Dolphins receivers. Rishard Matthews will be out of action tomorrow. He broke multiple ribs in the Week 12 loss to the Jets and didn’t practice at all.
Kenny Stills is dealing with an ankle injury, but probably won’t miss any time. We should see a heavy load for Jarvis Landry with these guys hurting.
The Patriots’ Rob Gronkowski was officially ruled out for Week 13 yesterday, thanks to his bruised/sprained knee. Sources close to the team speculate he’ll be out next week as well, but will probably make it back before the regular season is over. In his absence, Scott Chandler will pick up some more targets.
As for Danny Amendola, he’s questionable for tomorrow with his knee injury. He was limited all week in practice, but the expectation is that he’ll play.
The Buccaneers look like they’ll be getting TE Austin Seferian-Jenkins back this week. He’s technically questionable due to his shoulder injury, but the feeling is that he’ll play.
Seferian-Jenkins missed the last nine games with a strain and finally got contact clearance yesterday.
