The Line: Miami Dolphins -4.5 -- Over/Under: 44
The Miami Dolphins and the Baltimore Ravens face off on Sunday in Miami in Week 13 NFL action.
The Miami Dolphins are 4-7 this season and have lost four of their last five games. The Dolphins offense has bee pathetic averaging 20.5 points and 335.9 yards per game and they have a minus four turnover ratio. Miami QB Ryan Tannehill has completed 62 percent of his passes with 20 touchdowns ad 11 interceptions. Lamar Miller leads the Dolphins in rushing with 567 yards and five touchdowns and Jarvis Landry s the top receiver with 76 receptions and four touchdowns. The Miami defense is allowing 26.1 points and 391.7 yards per game with nine interceptions, 23 sacks, and seven fumble recoveries. Reshad Jones is the Dolphins leading tackler with 98, Kelvin Sheppard has 70 tackles, and Koa Misi has 61 tackles. The Dolphins organization seems to be a mess from the top to the bottom.
The Baltimore Ravens are 4-7 this season and are coming off of a dramatic win on Monday Night at Cleveland. The Ravens offense is averaging 23.5 points and 361.7 yards and they are minus 10 in turnover ratio. Matt Schaub has taken over at QB for the Ravens replacing the injured Joe Flacco and he has completed 58.8 percent of his passes with two touchdowns and two interceptions. Javorious Allen and Terrence West have taken over the Ravens ground game that has been decimated by injuries and Kamar Aiken has taken over the primary receiver role with 43 catches and four touchdowns. The Baltimore defense is allowing 25.1 points and 352.5 yards per game with four interceptions, 27 sacks, and four fumble recoveries. Daryl Smith is the Ravens leading tackler with 86, C.J. Mosley has 75 tackles, and Will Hill has 52 tackles. This is a rebuilding year for a Ravens team that has been devastated by injuries.
Miami is 3-7 against the spread following a loss, 2-6 against the spread against a team with a losing record, and 2-10 against the spread against the AFC. Baltimore is 2-7-2 against the spread in their last 11 games, 2-6 against the spread in their last eight road games against a team with a losing home record, and 1-6-1 against the spread against the AFC. The underdog has covered the point spread in six of the last eight meetings of these two.
The Dolphins are favored here but the way they are playing they shouldn’t be favored over anyone and I look for the Ravens to at least cover but more likely win outright.
