The Line: Baltimore Ravens -- Over/Under:
The Baltimore Ravens and the Seattle Seahawks face off on Sunday in Baltimore in a Week 14 NFL match up.
The Baltimore Ravens are 4-8 this season as they have been decimated by injuries. The Ravens offense is averaging 22.7 points and 362.8 yards per game and they are minus 11 in turnover ratio. Matt Schaub has taken over at QB for Baltimore and he has completed 65 percent of his passes with three touchdowns and four interceptions. Javoris “Buck” Allen has been the new face in the Ravens backfield averaging 3.9 yards per carry and Kamar Aiken is the top receiver with 49 catches and four touchdowns. The Ravens defense is allowing 24.2 points and 341.4 yards per game with just four interceptions, 28 sacks, and five fumble recoveries. Daryl Smith leads Baltimore with 95 tackles, C.J. Mosley has 79 tackles, and Will Hill has 55 tackles. The Ravens are taking a step back this season and should be a team to watch next season when they are healthy and they are replenished with higher draft picks than they normally get.
The Seattle Seahawks are 7-5 this season and they are making a late season run at the playoffs winning their last three games. The Seahawks offense is averaging 25.4 points and 378.8 yards per game and they are plus five in turnover ratio. Seattle QB Russell Wilson has completed 68.5 percent of his passes with 21 touchdowns and seven interceptions and he has been sacked 38 times. Thomas Rawls has been filling in for the injured Marshawn Lynch in the Seahawks backfield and he has rushed for 786 yards and four touchdowns and Doug Baldwin has 55 receptions and eight touchdowns. The Seattle defense is allowing 19.1 points and 308.2 yards per game with nine interceptions, 31 sacks, and 13 fumble recoveries. K.J. Wright and Bobby Wagner each have 89 tackles to lead the Seahawks and Kam Chancellor has 74 tackles. The Seahawks might not make it to the lead in the NFC West but they aren’t a team anyone will want to face in the playoffs.
Baltimore is 15-5-1 against the spread against a team with a winning record, 3-7-2 against the spread in their last 12 games, and 0-7-1 against the spread in their last eight home games. Seattle is 6-2 against the spread against a team with a losing record, 2-6-1 against the spread following a win, and 1-4-1 against the spread in their last six road games against a team with a losing home record. The home team is 3-0-1 against the point spread in the last four meetings of these two.
Because of the large amount of injuries the line for this one isn’t out yet but please check back and I will update this with my free pick.
