NFL Updates: News From Around the League, Playoffs Schedule and More

The NFL Playoffs will be getting started today, so we football fans don’t have much longer to wait. In the meantime, let’s take our daily look at the league and see who’s making news out there right now.

The Dolphins seem to be dead set on their next head coach, and that man is Bears offensive coordinator Adam Gase.
Gase interviewed with the team on Thursday, and the Dolphins have made no secret of their desire to land him. We could see an official hiring as early as this weekend if things go Miami’s way.

The Bengals’ OC Hue Jackson is scheduled to meet with the 49ers tomorrow, and if San Francisco gets their way he’ll be the team’s next head coach.
Cincinnati has yet to play this weekend, and Jackson can’t accept any offers until they’re out of the playoffs, so the coaching position may depend on their performance today.

Let’s check out a couple of Packers injuries. RB Eddie Lacy is listed as probable for tomorrow’s game against the Redskins. He was limited all week with a rib injury.
As for tackle David Bakhtiari, he’s questionable after a limited practice session yesterday. He’ll be a game-time decision, but odds are he’ll tough it out.

Then there’s Seahawks RB Marshawn Lynch, who has been a hot topic of conversation this week. He’s was listed as questionable with his abdomen injury, but did not travel with the team.
This was a massive 180 from Lynch‘s status a couple of days ago. Most people had expected him to play, but he’ll miss the game.

On the other side of that matchup, the Vikings’ Adrian Peterson is probable with his back injury. He missed out on Wednesday’s and Thursday’s practices, but was able to get in a session on Friday.

Cecil Shorts, DeAndre Hopkins, Nate Washington and Alfred Blue are all probable for today’s game against the Chiefs. That’s great news for an offense that needs all the help it can get.
That said, Jadeveon Clowney is questionable. His status doesn’t look all that good.
