The Minnesota Vikings and Cincinnati Bengals play a preseason game Friday night at Paul Brown Stadium.
The Minnesota Vikings won 11 games last year and are a very confident bunch entering this season. The offense is of course led by Teddy Bridgewater and Adrian Peterson, but a lot of attention will go to rookie Laquon Treadwell, who will likely start alongside Stefon Diggs. Backup quarterbacks Shaun Hill and Taylor Heinicke will get a majority of the reps as they settle the No. 2 job. Defensively, the Minnesota Vikings will hope rookie Mackensie Alexander can live up to the hype. Young players such as Jayron Kearse and Trae Waynes also have a chance to earn some considerable playing time.

The Cincinnati Bengals have made playoffs five straight seasons but pressure is on this franchise to take yet another step. Offensively, the Bengals are set, especially with wide receiver Brandon LaFell joining the crew. In this game, you’re going to see a lot of backup AJ McCarron, who shined in last years playoffs and Keith Wenning, who will be competing with Joe Licata for the No. 3 QB job. Defensively, the Cincinnati Bengals the Bengals will throw out Karlos Dansby for the first time, while rookies Nick Vigil and William Jackson III have a chance to prove they can hold their own with the second unit.
The Vikings are 7-0 ATS in their last 7 road games and 37-17 ATS in their last 54 games overall. The Bengals are 1-3-1 ATS in their last 5 home games and 12-3-2 ATS in their last 17 games overall. The home team is 5-0 ATS in their last 5 meetings.
The Bengals showed towards the end of last season that they have two solid quarterbacks in Andy Dalton and McCarron. When you consider they'll combine probably for the first half, you have to like Cincy in this ball game. The Vikings don't have much behind Bridgewater, who will likely only play a series or two.
