The Seattle Seahawks look to extent their dominating home field play with a preseason matchup against the Dallas Cowboys at Century Link Field on Thursday night.
The Dallas Cowboys head into Century Link on Thursday night looking to build some momentum for the upcoming season but will have to do so without Dez Bryant who sustained a concussion in practice this week and will likely be held out until the season starts. The Cowboys are looking to shake off an ugly season last year in which they finished 4-12 but did so for the most part without Tony Romo who will return for the start of this season and he will have some weapons at his disposal and the draft of Ezekiel Elliott is a big addtion for their ground game that is trying to fill the hole left by Demarco Murray. Dallas will likely have Dak Prescott play a lot here and he has been excellent in this preseason and should play his way up the depth chart and may even open up the year as the team's backup and with the play we have seen him reach in college I think Cowboys fans can feel a little more at ease with their quarterback play if Romo has to miss some time again this season.

The Seahawks meanwhile are looking to get back on top of the NFC West after losing the division to the Arizona Cardinals but a 10-6 record is still very impressive and earned them a spot in the playoffs as a wild card team and got them a victory on the road against the Minnesota VIkings. Seattle has a very bruising defense as always and some emerging talent on the offensive side of the ball and if they can get Thomas Rawls up to speed after his injury they should have no issues filling the void left by the retiring Marshawn Lynch. Seattle is a 4.5 point favourite in this spot and while they are at home I think they are getting too much of a look here as I think the Cowboys are in a tougher spot in terms of their depth chart and will likely see more action out of their upper echelon second stringers.
Dallas is 1-5 ATS in their last six games against the NFC West, 1-5 ATS in their last six on a Thursday, and 0-3-1 ATS in their last four overall while the Seahawks are 6-0 ATS in their last six on a Thursday and 39-19-2 ATS in their last 60 on turf. All trends point to the Seahawks here but I like Dallas to keep it close as Prescott continues his successful debut behind center.
