The Atlanta Falcons and Miami Dolphins play a preseason game Thursday night at the Florida Citrus Bowl on NBC.

The Atlanta Falcons improved to 2-0 in the preseason with a 24-13 victory over the Cleveland Browns. In yet another win, Matt Simms led the way with 136 passing yards and one touchdown. Matt Ryan, who is 6-15 in the first two games, should play the bulk of the first half here. Devin Lewis Fuller and Mohamed Sanu combined for 94 receiving yards and one touchdown while Jordan Leslie had two receptions. The Atlanta Falcons ground game averaged 5.5 yards per carry and Cyrus Gray led the charge with 76 yards on 18 carries. Defensively, Damian Parms led the Falcons with four tackles, Adrian Clayborn had one sack and Desmond Trufant had one pass deflection.

Miami Dolphins vs. Atlanta Falcons - 8/25/16 NFL Pick, Odds, and Prediction

The Miami Dolphins dropped to 1-1 in the preseason with a 41-14 loss to the Dallas Cowboys. In the losing effort, Ryan Tannehill led the way with 162 passing yards and two touchdowns. Tannehill is 14-24 with two touchdown passes in two games. Kenny Stills and Dominique Jones combined for 107 receiving yards and two touchdowns while Jarvis Landry had four receptions. The Miami Dolphins ground game averaged 4.1 yards per carry and Isaiah Pead led the charge with 48 yards on four carries. Defensively, Mike Hull led the Dolphins with six tackles, Bobby McCain had one pass deflection and Shamiel Gary had one tackle for loss.

The Falcons are 5-1 ATS in their last 6 Thursday games and 2-10 ATS in their last 12 games overall. The Dolphins are 0-4 ATS in their last 4 games on turf and 5-16 ATS in their last 21 games overall. The Falcons are 4-1-1 ATS in their last 6 meetings.

Tannehill looked sharp in the last game and plays for a Miami team with more to prove than the Falcons. I haven't been impressed with Atlanta's depth this preseason and Miami should be able to take advantage of that. Give me the Dolphins and small chalk.
