Two of the top projected offenses heading into the season face off in the preseason in New Orleans on Friday as the Saints welcome the Pittsburgh Steelers.
The Steelers head into Friday night’s game looking to build some momentum with the regular season fast approaching and while we won’t see much out of the big dogs like Ben Roethlisberger and Antonio Brown the Steelers still have a ton of other weapons at their disposal. Pittsburgh is looking to get back to the playoffs again this season and are projected to be one of the top teams in the AFC as they are deep across the board and while they are without Martavis Bryant for the entire season and Le’Veon Bell for the first three games they have such a talented group that they can make do without.

The Saints meanwhile are looking for another stellar outing from their franchise pivot in Drew Brees and while things haven’t been great for New Orleans as a team over the last couple of seasons they have the legs to stay competitive in the NFC South. The Saints are coming off a 16-9 loss on the road to the Houston Texans but will see more time from their top end guys here including Brees and Brandin Cooks who is expected to carry the load as the top receiver for the Saints this season and as one of the best in the NFL.
Pittsburgh is 7-3-2 in their last 12 ATS on the road and have played to the UNDER in their last four games while the Saints are 4-1 ATS in their last five and 6-2-1 in their last nine games ATS on turf. The Steelers have some positions to sort out still but I think this game is New Orleans’ to lose as they are at home and will likely see more of their first unit than the Steelers here.
