The Line: Carolina Panthers -13 -- Over/Under: 45.5 See the Latest Odds

The San Francisco 49ers and Carolina Panthers meet Sunday afternoon at Bank of America Stadium.

The San Francisco 49ers look to make another statement after waxing the Los Angeles Rams Monday night. Blaine Gabbert is completing 62.9 percent of his passes for 170 yards, one touchdown and zero interceptions. Gabbert now has a touchdown pass in 11 straight games. Jeremy Kerley and Quinton Patton have combined for 121 receiving yards on 16 catches while Shaun Draughn has two receptions. The San Francisco 49ers ground game is averaging 150 yards per contest, and Carlos Hyde leads the way with 88 yards and two touchdowns. Defensively, San Francisco is allowing zero points and 185 yards per game. NaVorro Bowman leads the 49ers with nine tackles, Ahmad Brooks has one sack and Ray-Ray Armstrong has one interception.

Carolina Panthers vs. San Francisco 49ers - 9/18/16 NFL Pick, Odds, and Prediction

The Carolina Panthers hope for a bounce back performance after falling apart last Thursday against the Denver Broncos. Cam Newton is completing 54.5 percent of his passes for 194 yards, one touchdown and one interception. Newton has three touchdown passes in his last three regular season games. Kelvin Benjamin and Greg Olsen have combined for 164 receiving yards and one touchdown while Corey Brown has one reception. The Carolina Panthers ground game is averaging 157 yards per contest, and Jonathan Stewart leads the way with 64 yards on 15 carries. Defensively, Carolina is allowing 21 points and 307 yards per game. Luke Kuechly leads the Panthers with 10 tackles, Tre Boston has one sack and Thomas Davis has one interception.

The 49ers are 1-4 ATS in their last 5 road games and 3-7 ATS vs. a team with a losing record. The Panthers are 19-7-1 ATS in their last 27 home games and 4-1 ATS in their last 5 games in Week 2. The 49ers are 1-4 ATS in their last 5 meetings in Carolina.

There was already a big talent gap between these teams, but you add in the rest factor for both teams and this game is a complete mismatch. The Panthers have had a week and a half to prepare, while the 49ers played late Monday night in game that didn't end until Tuesday around 1:30 Eastern time. I don't like huge chalk, as NFL games are usually close. However, the 49ers will no longer be playing the Rams and will have to find ways to move the football.

Don't love the pick, but the Panthers should be able to win this game in a blowout.
