The Indianapolis Colts take the trip to Mile High Stadium to take on the Denver Broncos in week 2 NFL action.
The Indianapolis Colts dropped a heartbreaker 39-35 to the Detroit Lions in week 1. Indy took the lead with under a minute left to lead by 1 when Lions quarterback Matthew Stafford drove his team down the field for a game winning 43-yard field goal to seal the Colts’ fate. Andrew Luck was impressive in his regular season debut, completing 31 of 47 pass attempts for 385 yards and 4 touchdowns. Frank Gore led the Colts ground attack with 59 yards on 14 carries while Phillip Dorsett led the Colts receivers with 4 receptions for 94 yards. Luck managed to spread the wealth as each Colts receiver who caught a pass had at least 2 receptions in the game. The Colts defensively had a quiet night, registering only 1 sack the entire game.

The Denver Broncos kicked off the 2016 NFL regular season with a thrilling 21-20 victory over the Carolina Panthers in a Super Bowl 50 rematch. Trevor Siemian completed 18 of 26 passes for 178 yards and a touchdown, but countered that with 2 interceptions. C.J. Anderson led the Broncos with 92 yards rushing on 20 carries, while rookie Andy Janovich became the first player in NFL history to score a rushing touchdown of 20+ yards on their first career carry. Siemian was also able to spread the wealth amongst his receivers, as 4 of the 5 receivers who caught a pass from Siemian had at least 4 receptions. The Broncos were able to register 2 sacks and an interception of Carolina QB Cam Newton en route to the victory.
Indianapolis is 4-1 ATS in their last 5 against a team with a winning record and 1-4 ATS in their last 5 games in week 2 while the over is 6-2 in their last 8 vs. the AFC. Denver is 3-0-1 ATS in their last 4 games overall and 3-0-1 ATS in their last 4 home games while the under is 5-2 in their last 7 vs. the AFC. Indianapolis is 10-1 ATS in the last 11 meetings between these two teams.
The spread in this game looks about right, but I’m going to side with the Colts as I have more faith in Andrew Luck than I do Trevor Siemian.
Give me Indianapolis and the points.
