The Line: San Diego Chargers +3 -- Over/Under: 45.5 See the Latest Odds

The Denver Broncos and San Diego Chargers meet in a key AFC West NFL matchup Thursday night at Qualcomm Stadium on CBS.

The Denver Broncos look to remain unbeaten on the road and keep their lead in the AFC West. The Denver Broncos have have lost back-to-back games just twice since the start of last season. Paxton Lynch is completing 62.7 percent of his passes for 393 yards, two touchdowns and one interception. Trevor Siemian remains questionable with a shoulder injury after missing last week. Demaryius Thomas and Emmanuel Sanders have combined for 754 receiving yards and six touchdowns while C.J. Anderson has 12 receptions. The Denver Broncos ground game is averaging 101.4 yards per contest, and Anderson leads the way with 293 yards and three touchdowns. Defensively, Denver is allowing 17.4 points and 301 yards per game. Brandon Marshall leads the Denver Broncos with 28 tackles, Von Miller has 6.5 sacks and Aqib Talib has three interceptions.

San Diego Chargers vs. Denver Broncos - 10/13/16 NFL Pick, Odds, and Prediction

The San Diego Chargers are desperate for a victory after a brutal 1-4 start to the season. The San Diego Chargers have lost at least five games every season since 2010. Philip Rivers is completing 68 percent of his passes for 1,469 yards, 11 touchdowns and three interceptions. Rivers has thrown at least two touchdown passes in five of his last eight games. Travis Benjamin and Tyrell Williams have combined for 752 receiving yards and four touchdowns while Hunter Henry has 13 receptions. The San Diego Chargers ground game is averaging 90.4 yards per contest, and Melvin Gordon leads the way with 299 yards and six touchdowns. Defensively, San Diego is allowing 28.4 points and 375 yards per game. Jatavis Brown leads the San Diego Chargers with 28 tackles, Melvin Ingram has three sacks and Casey Hayward has three interceptions.

The Broncos are 4-0 ATS in their last 4 road games and 6-1-1 ATS in their last 8 games overall. The Chargers are 3-12 ATS in their last 15 home games and 7-2 ATS in their last 9 games overall. The Broncos are 5-0 ATS in their last 5 meetings in San Diego and the under is 5-2 in the last 7 meetings.

As of right now, I'm going to assume that Siemian isn't playing, so I can't take the Denver Broncos in this game on the road with a rookie quarterback. The Broncos offense did nothing at home last week against a beatable Atlanta defense, so I can't expect much on the road with a quick turnaround. Also, the Chargers are a lot better than their record, as they've had a lot of brutal beats already this season and have competed until falling apart in the fourth quarter. Speaking of competing, the San Diego Chargers always play the AFC West tough and have covered five straight games against teams within their division.

If Lynch is playing QB for the Broncos, I like San Diego to win this game outright. If Siemian is playing, I'll still take my chances with the home team and the free field goal.
