The Line: Houston Texans -1 -- Over/Under: 45 See the Latest Odds
The short handed Houston Texans look to get back in the win column after a dismal outing against the Broncos last weekend as they host the Detroit Lions on Sunday.
The Lions look to chalk up another victory on the road as they travel to Reliant Stadium to take on the Texans in what is becoming one of the tougher stadiums in the league for road teams to play in. Detroit is riding the excellent campaign from quarterback Matt Stafford and he will have his work cut out for him in this one against a strong Texans defense that will look to shake off a sluggish effort against the Broncos in Denver last weekend. Detroit has a very potent offense and an underrated defense and you can see that the line is starting to move in their favour as we inch towards kick off and rightfully so as this should be a very close game.

The Texans meanwhile continue to succumb to the injury bug as they have already lost JJ Watt and now prized running back Lamar Miller might miss some time with a shoulder injury suffered last weekend. Miller is currently listed as a game time decision and he will likely be in action in some capacity but the Texans won’t be shy to go to Alfred Blue who has shown in times of need he can fill in on a game by game basis as the every day back, and he has done a nice job over the years filling in for the departed Arian Foster.
The Lions are 5-1 ATS in their last six following a victory and 4-1 ATS in their last five against a team with a winning record while the Texans are 3-0-1 ATS in their last four home games and 4-1-1 in their last six following an ATS loss. This is an interesting game as a lot of it depends on how well Miller can play but in the end I think the Lions have the goods to stay competitive here and I think they can get the win outright.
