The Seahawks are 1-4 ATS in their last 5 games following a ATS win and 9-4 ATS vs. a team with a losing record. The Saints are 38-17-1 ATS vs. a team with a winning record and 4-1 ATS in their last 5 games overall. The over is 8-0-1 in Saints last 9 home games and the under is 5-2 in Seahawks last 7 road games.
Brees has had trouble with this Seahawks defense in the past, but it's important to note those games took place in Seattle where most quarterbacks and teams overall struggle. We all know Brees and this Saints offense is very different at home in the dome and is capable of putting up 30-plus points without much of a fight. The Seahawks are obviously the better team here, but Wilson's ankle injury continues to bother me and has me questioning if he's capable of leading the Seahawks down the field for multiple scores. Just look at the game against the Arizona Cardinals. Wilson hasn't thrown a touchdown pass in his last two games and the Seahawks have no running game. I have confidence Brees can put some points on the board even against this nasty Seattle defense.
So, because Wilson clearly isn't himself at the moment, I'm taking the Saints at home and the free field goal.
