The Atlanta Falcons look to avenge a week one loss at home against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers as the two sides meet up for Thursday Night Football.
The Falcons look to run wild on the Bucs on Thursday night as the high powered offense takes on a team that gave up 513 yards through the air last weekend against the Oakland Raiders and look ripe for the picking again here. Atlanta has been stellar all season on the offensive side of the ball as Matt Ryan, Devonta Freeman, and Julio Jones lead the three headed attack and some secondary pieces including last week’s hero Mohammed Sanu have been welcome additions and have put this team in a great position in the NFC South. They will have revenge on their minds here as the Bucs won their first meeting this season on opening weekend and have gone from a slight underdog to more than a field goal favourite throughout the week.

The Bucs meanwhile are coming off a tough loss at home against the Oakland Raiders in what was a crazy game back and forth, but ultimately it was another loss for Tampa who is stringing them together more frequently than anticipated. However, with a win on Thursday they can put themselves back into the discussion as a playoff team in the NFC as they would trail the Falcons by a half game and with the weapons they have on offense you can’t ever count them out, especially at home. Jacquizz Rodgers will be out which is tough for him as he could have had a big outing against his former team, but Jameis Winston and Mike Evans are good to go and they will have to be big if Tampa Bay wants to stay in it.
The Falcons are 5-0 ATS in their last five road games and 5-1 ATS in their last six Thursday games while the Bucs are 19-7-1 in their last 27 games in November and 1-5 ATS in their last six Thursday games. The money is pouring in on the Falcons and rightfully so as they should shred this Bucs defense and I think they do enough to get the cover and avenge their week one loss.
