The New Orleans Saints head into Levi’s Stadium looking for a big win on the road against the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday.
The Saints bring their high octane offense into San Francisco on Sunday and they will look to pick apart the Niners who have lost six games in a row and have looked like a doormat in those contests, and with New Orleans coming off a big win against the Seahawks they will surely be ready for this one. New Orleans has been criticised for not having a strong defense but they are a unit that is getting better and with each passing game they are looking more and more like a potential dark horse in the NFC playoff picture but they will need to step up in a big way here on the road against San Fran who should have Carlos Hyde back in time for this one.
The Niners meanwhile have had a dismal season aside from their opening weekend victory against the Los Angeles Rams and have lost six straight games in convincing fashion and are underdogs at home once again here against the 3-4 Saints. San Francisco has undergone a quarterback change and that hasn’t been able to spark them to a win and for the rest of the season it’ll be interesting to see if they stay with Colin Kaepernick or if they will go back to Blaine Gabbert or turn to Christian Ponder, but none of them seem to be the long term answer and you can bet the front office is already looking to the draft for their answer behind centre.
The Saints are 4-0 ATS in their last four games overall and 5-0 ATS in their last five road games while the Niners are 1-5 ATS in their last six against a team with a losing record and 4-9 ATS in their last 13 games during week nine. New Orleans is the much better team and even though they are on the road I don’t see the Niners being able to slow this New Orleans team down and I think they cruise to another win and cover.
