The Jacksonville Jaguars head to Ford Field to take on the Detroit Lions in an inter-conference showdown in week 11 NFL action.
The Jacksonville jaguars lost their 4th straight game to fall to 2-7 following a 24-21 loss to the Houston Texans in week 10. Blake Bortles completed 32 of his 49 pass attempts for 265 yards, 2 touchdowns and an interception. T.J. Yeldon and Chris Ivory performed almost identically out of the Jags field with each having 9 carries in the game, while Yeldon put up 32 yards, Ivory registered 31 in the game. Allen Robinson led the Jacksonville receiving core with 9 receptions for 107 yards and a touchdown while Marquise Lee ended up next on the list with 4 receptions for 50 yards. Defensively, it's not often that you hold the opposing team's quarterback to under 100 yards passing and still end up with the loss, but that's exactly what happened here as the Jags allowed were able to bring down Texans QB Brock Osweiler down just once in the game while allowing just 273 yards of total offense from Houston in the game.

The Detroit Lions had a bye week in week 10, however they went into the bye on a high note after defeating the Vikings in overtime by a final score of 22-16 to improve to 5-4 to pull into a tie for tops in the NFC North. Matthew Stafford completed 23 of his 36 pass attempts for 219 yards, a pair of touchdowns and an interception while being sacked just once on the day. Theo Riddick led the way for the Lions ground game with 70 yards on 14 carries while Dwayne Washington put up just 26 yards on his 10 carries. Eric Ebron caught 7 passes for a team-high 92 yards while Golden Tate led the Lions with 11 receptions for 79 yards including the game winning touchdown from 28 yards out. Defensively, it was an average showing for the Lions, as they allowed 337 yards of total offense to the Vikings with the only highlights coming in the form of a pair of sacks from defensive end Kerry Hyder.
Jacksonville is 6-1 ATS in their last 7 games after a bye week and 5-2 ATS in their last 7 games in the month of November while the over is 11-4 in their last 15 games following a loss. Detroit is 4-1 ATS in their last 5 home games and 4-1 ATS in their last 5 games overall while the under is 9-3 in their last 12 games after a bye week. The favorite is has covered the spread in the last 5 meetings between these two teams.
Jacksonville looks like they're starting to run out of gas while Detroit has climbed to the top of the division and has the postseason in their sights. Considering the favorite has covered in the last 5 matchups between these two, Detroit by a touchdown is more than reasonable.
Lay the points with Detroit.
