The Kansas City Chiefs look to move to 8-2 as they welcome in the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Sunday afternoon.
The Bucs look to spoil the party at Arrowhead on Sunday and move to .500 with a victory but they will have their hands full with a Chiefs side that is 7-2 and in the hunt for the AFC West division crown. Tampa Bay will need a big afternoon from Jameis Winston and Mike Evans as they have been the catalyst for this Bucs offense all season long and against a very good Chiefs defense on the road they are going to have to find ways to produce or else it could be a very ugly afternoon. The Bucs do have some quality wins on their resume this season but this could be their biggest as this is a tough stadium to win in and is a very good team that has Super Bowl aspirations.
The Chiefs meanwhile are coming off an impressive come from behind win against the Carolina Panthers last weekend and will look to ride that momentum back home against a Bucs team that is a step ahead of the Panthers side they saw last weekend. Kansas City doesn’t have the greatest offense though and that opens the door for the Bucs in this game as the Chiefs don’t hang a ton of points on the board, Alex Smith isn’t 100%, and there is no telling whether Jeremy Maclin will be active in this one which doesn’t bode well for an offense that struggles to score on the best of days.
The Bucs are 0-4 in their last four ATS against a team with a winning record and 3-8 ATS in their last 11 games on grass while the Chiefs are 5-1 ATS in their last six games in November and 2-6 ATS in their last eight games following a straight up win. This looks like way too many points as the Chiefs don’t have a great offense and with Evans on the prowl I think the Bucs can cover this number with ease.
