The Dallas Cowboys and Washington Redskins meet up at Jerry’s World on Thursday afternoon in a pivotal NFC East show down between these two playoff hopefuls.
The Redskins have come out of nowhere and look like a legitimate threat to make the playoffs in the NFC and a road win on Thanksgiving would be a huge shot in the arm for this group as they take on the 9-1 Dallas Cowboys who have the best record in football and have won nine in a row. Washington though is coming off a Sunday night trouncing of the Green Bay Packers as their offense really looked sound against a slumping Packers group and while the Cowboys will likely stick to their guns and run the ball all day and in turn will keep Kirk Cousins and company off the field I think this has the makings of a very exciting contest.

The Cowboys meanwhile have been the hottest team in the league over the last two months as they have not lost since week one and have the best record in football right now and if they win this one they can pretty well book their ticket to the playoffs if they haven’t already. Dallas is riding the exceptional play of their rookie tandem of Ezekiel Elliott and Dak Prescott and now with Dez Bryant getting healthy and Cole Beasley turning into an every down slot option this offense is scary and will certainly do some damage on Thursday.
The Redskins are 6-1 ATS in their last seven road games and 5-1 ATS in their last six following a win while the Cowboys are 8-0 ATS in their last eight games following a win and 9-0 ATS in their last nine overall. Dallas has covered all of their nine wins this season but this one looks a bit different as I think the Washington offense can keep this one close enough to get a back door cover at worst.
