The Tampa Bay Bucs and San Diego Chargers meet up in California on Sunday as both teams look to make a late season push at the playoffs.
The Bucs are rolling right now and will look to make a push towards the NFC South crown as they take on the high octane offense of the San Diego Chargers in one of the more anticipated show downs in a busy week 13. Tampa Bay will live and die with the play of Mike Evans and Jameis Winston as the duo have been excellent together this season and with the Chargers secondary having issues and being susceptible to big games from opposing wide outs this looks like another great spot for Evans to have a great day. Tampa also has an underrated pass defense and can get pressure off the end and if they can get Rivers on his back this should be a very close game that should come down to the wire.

The Chargers meanwhile are sitting in last place in the AFC West but have some very stiff competition as the Raiders are atop the division and the Chiefs and Broncos aren’t far behind so while a fourth place finish on paper doesn’t look great it isn’t something to hang your head about this season in football’s best division. San Diego has had some very tough losses this season and perhaps deserve a better fate but in the end they need to find ways to close out games and that is what separates teams from the playoffs and a mid round draft pick and the Chargers know with Tampa’s season hanging in the balance that they will get the very best from the red, black, and pewter.
The Bucs are 4-1 ATS in their last five road games and 5-2 ATS in their last seven overall while the Chargers are 6-1 ATS in their last seven against a team with a winning record and 5-13 ATS in their last 18 home games. This has all the makings of a classic and while San Diego has the more experienced quarterback I think this will come down to the wire in a game the Bucs have a chance to win outright.
