The Cleveland Browns and the Cincinnati Bengals face off on Sunday in week 14 NFL football action.

The Cleveland Browns are 0-12 this season and they seem to be getting less competitive in their losses as the weeks go on. The Browns are averaging a 31st ranked 16.4 points per game and a 29th ranked 313.8 yards per game and they are minus 9 in turnover ratio. Cleveland has gone through several QB’s but currently it is Josh McCown who has completed 54.5 percent of his passes with 6 touchdowns and 6 interceptions. Isaiah Crowell is the Browns top rusher with 605 yards and 5 touchdowns and Terrelle Pryor is the top receiver with 62 catches and 4 touchdowns. The Cleveland defense is 31st in yards allowed at 29.3 per game and 31st in yards allowed at 400 per game with 8 interceptions, 5 fumble recoveries, and 17 sacks. Christian Kirksey leads the Browns in tackles with 114, Demario Davis has 74 tackles, and Joe Haden has 3 interceptions. It appears the Browns will once again be drafting at or near the top in the upcoming NFL Draft.

USA TODAY Sports

The Cincinnati Bengals are 4-7-1 this season and it looks like their string of playoff appearances will come to a halt. The Bengals offense is averaging 20.4 points and 372 yards per game and they are plus 2 in turnover ratio. Cincinnati QB Andy Dalton has completed 64.2 percent of his passes with 14 touchdowns and 6 interceptions. Jeremy Hill is the Bengals top rusher with 677 yards and 7 touchdowns and Tyler Boyd is the leading active receiver with 42 catches and a touchdown as A.J. Green appears lost for the season. Defensively Cincinnati is allowing 21.6 points and 365.9 yards per game with 14 interceptions, 5 fumble recoveries, and 22 sacks. Vontaze Burfict is the Bengals leading tackler with 91, Karlos Dansby has 77 tackles, and Carlos Dunlap has 7 sacks. The Bengals have been hit by a lot of injuries, sub-par offensive line play, and a thin receiving corps and it has all added up to them being just not good enough.

Cleveland is 0-9 against the spread in the AFC North, 1-10 against the spread in their last 11 home games, and 1-4 against the spread against a team with a losing record. Cincinnati is 9-3 against the spread against a team with a losing record, 1-4 against the spread in their last 5 games, and 0-5 against the spread in their last 5 games. The underdog is 13-5-1 against the spread in the last 19 meetings of these two teams.

The Browns have been getting worse but the Bengals just look beat up making this one lousy game. I haven’t taken the Browns all year even though the “sharps” have been on them plenty and losing plenty but I am going to go with them here as I can see them getting their first win.
