The Denver Broncos look to play their way back into the AFC West title picture as they travel to the Music City to take on the Tennessee Titans.
The Broncos look to shake one of their worst efforts of the season as they barely squeaked by the lowly Jacksonville Jaguars in what was a defensive struggle that kept Denver’s offense in check all day long, and now they head into Tennessee to take on a Titans team that still has division title aspirations of their own. Denver has been able to respond well in recent memory after laying an egg offensively the week before and this situation certainly fits the mold in what should be an exciting game between two contrasting styles as the Broncos are built on their defense and passing game while the Titans have holes defensively but one of the best running attacks and offensive lines in the NFL.
Tennessee has really come on of late and are looking like a potential suitor to get into the playoffs as the AFC South remains wide open between them, the Texans, and the Colts and this could be a massive statement victory for them. The Titans have gotten a ton of money coming in right now and are slight home favourites which says a lot about how the oddsmakers feel about Demarco Murray and Marcus Mariota against this Denver defense that is often revred as one of the best in the NFL. The health of Trevor Siemian remains a question mark for the Broncos and if he isn’t at 100% the Titans might be able to take advantage here and keep the Broncos defense on the field for prolonged stretches with double digit drives and plenty of yards on the ground.
The Broncos are 10-1 ATS in their last 11 after accumulating less than 15- yards passing in their previous game and 3-9 ATS in their last 12 games in week 14 while the Titans are 0-5 in their last five in week 14 and 12-37-3 ATS in their last 52 overall. The Titans match up well with Denver as they have a solid quarterback and great running game but the Broncos are still the better team and getting points this late in the season is a steal.
