The Miami Dolphins and New York Jets clash Saturday night in a AFC East NFL matchup at MetLife Stadium.

The Miami Dolphins look for their third road victory of the season to stay in the AFC wild card race. The Miami Dolphins have not won nine games since the 2008 NFL season. Matt Moore is completing 60 percent of his passes for 47 yards, zero touchdowns and zero interceptions. Moore has 35 pass attempts since the 20012 NFL season. Jarvis Landry and Kenny Stills have combined for 1,521 receiving yards and eight touchdowns while DeVante Parker has 46 receptions. The Miami Dolphins ground game is averaging 109.3 yards per contest, and Jay Ajayi leads the way with 956 yards and seven touchdowns. Defensively, Miami is allowing 23.2 points and 367.5 yards per game. Kiko Alonso leads the Miami Dolphins with 97 tackles, Ndamukong Suh has five sacks and Byron Maxwell has two interceptions.

The New York Jets look to play spoiler and win back-to-back games for the second time this season. The New York Jets split their last 12 home games. Bryce Petty is completing 58.5 percent of his passes for 574 yards, two touchdowns and four interceptions. Petty enters this game with 94 career pass attempts under his belt. Brandon Marshall and Quincy Enunwa have combined for 1,426 receiving yards and seven touchdowns while Robby Anderson has 34 receptions. The New York Jets ground game is averaging 111.4 yards per contest, and Matt Forte leads the way with 792 yards and seven touchdowns. Defensively, New York is allowing 24.9 points and 355.5 yards per game. David Harris leads the New York Jets with 75 tackles, Leonard Williams has seven sacks and Marcus Gilchrist has two interceptions.

The Dolphins are 3-9 ATS in their last 12 vs. AFC East and 6-2 ATS in their last 8 games overall. The Jets are 8-3-1 ATS in their last 12 vs. AFC East and 7-1-1 ATS in their last 9 games in December. The Dolphins are 10-25-1 ATS in their last 36 meetings and the under is 5-1 in the last 6 meetings in New York.

Having Matt Moore at quarterback scares the hell out of me given his lack of reps over the years. However, Moore has been with the Dolphins for a long time, knows the system and is still a better option than Petty at this stage of his career. It's also important to remember that the Dolphins gashed the Jets on the ground in the previous meeting this season and you can expect Ajayi to get a heavy dose of carries once again. Even without Ryan Tannehill, this is a game the Dolphins should be able to win to keep their playoff hopes intact. I'll take the fish and the small line.
