We have a marquee matchup between division leaders on Sunday night as the Tampa Bay Buccaneers face off against the Dallas Cowboys.
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers look to keep rolling after building a 5-game win streak. The Bucs made it 5 in a row with a 16-11 win over New Orleans in week 14. Jameis Winston completed 16 of 26 pass attempts for 184 yards while being sacked twice on the day. The “muscle hamster” Doug Martin racked up 66 yards and a touchdown on his 23 carries. Cameron Brate and Mike Evans led the Buccos with 4 catches each, however it was Brate that racked up a team-high 47 receiving yards while Evans notched 42 yards. Defensively, The Buccaneers managed to hold the otherwise dynamic Saints offense to just 294 yards of total offense, picking off Saints QB Drew Brees 3 times and dropping him in the backfield once. Now Tampa gets to face off against another solid offense at AT&T Stadium when the Cowboys welcome the Bucs to town.

The Dallas Cowboys had their 11-game win streak snapped after a 10-7 loss on Sunday Night Football in week 14 to the New York Giants. Dak Prescott completed just 17 of his 37 passes for 165 yards, a touchdown and a pair of interceptions. The INT was Prescott’s first pick given up since week 8. Ezekiel Elliott racked up 107 yards on 24 carries, bringing him to just under 1400 rushing yards this season. Terrence Williams led the Cowboys with 76 receiving yards and the team’s lone touchdown on a team-high 5 receptions. Dez Bryant was held to just a single reception for 10 yards in the game. Defensively, the Cowboys got to Eli Manning 3 times for a sack, forcing Manning to also throw an interception in holding the g-men to just 10 points and 260 yards of total offense. Dallas also forced a whopping 4 fumbles from the hands of the Giants, falling on top of two of them.
Tampa Bay is 4-0 ATS in their last 4 road games and 5-0 ATS in their last 5 games overall while the under is 3-0-1 in their last 4 games following a win. Dallas is 4-1 ATS in their last 5 home games and 9-3 ATS in their last 12 games overall while the under is 7-3 in their last 10 games overall. The favorite is 5-2 ATS in the last 7 meetings between these two teams.
My assumption is that Dallas probably wins this one, but Tampa has been playing way too well over the last month or so for me to pass up a touchdown. Dallas is a tough place to go on the road and win, but I think the Bucs can at least keep this one within a touchdown.
